About Winston & The Duke: A future world leader, a future icon of the fashion industry and a major member of the British aristocracy are together for a day of salmon fishing in 1920's rural Scotland.
1925. Seven years since the last war, and fourteen before the next. It is the year that Hitler, humiliated and imprisoned after the failed Beer Hall coup, having been released from jail has published Mein Kampf, and returned to Munich to set up his new National Socialist Party, and Mussolini has begun to flex his muscles in Italy, declaring himself Dictator that January, and in November closing down opposition newspapers and asserting his will over the Italian parliament.
The hardest thing to grasp in looking at history is that at the time people had no more idea of their future than we have of ours.
