Abingdon Theatre Company stands in solidarity with our black colleagues, friends, artists and the entire black community. We give our full support to those protesting in the streets for justice and equality. We are deeply saddened by the senseless murder of George Floyd and countless others and we irrefutably condemn it. This cannot continue. ATC can only fulfill our mission to produce brave, new American work by emerging and established artists if all voices are heard equally. We vow to renew our commitment to listen, support and educate ourselves. We can no longer be complicit, change is necessary. #blacklivesmatter #justiceforgeorgefloyd

Dear Friend of Abingdon,

I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.

It has been an unusual and trying time for our theatre community but here at Abingdon Theatre Company we are hopeful and looking to the future. At this time, you have many worthy causes to consider as you plan your giving.

I hope that you consider adding ATC to that list. For 27 years we have been dedicated to developing and producing brave, new work by emerging and established artists and we strive to do the same this year as we embark on another ambitious season.

Theatre has the power to heal now more than ever and we greatly appreciate your support.

Here’s to many more shared experiences together.

With gratitude,

Chad Austin
